Barnardo's Family Support Service - Barnardo's provide a children's rights service and advocacy support to children as well as services to children affected by parental substance misuse, outreach to young people aged 12 -18  years in NE Fife and Glenrothes and eductiaon input to schools.


Child Protection in Sport - help for sporting organisations to put safeguards in place to keep children and young people safe, providing advice, consultancy and training on the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures.


ChildLine – national helpline for children.


Childnet (Know it All) - an extensive suite of education resources designed to help educate parents, teachers and young people about safe and positive use of the internet.


Children First - supports families under stress, protects children from harm and neglect, helps children recover from abuse, promotes children's rights and interests.


Children’s Hearings – information for families and practitioners on the Children’s Hearing system.


Children in Scotland - national agency for voluntary, statutory and professional organisations and individuals working with children and their families in Scotland.


Citizen’s Advice Scotland - provides information and advice on rights and available services.


COSLA - COSLA, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, is the representative voice of Scottish local government and also acts as the employers’ association on behalf of all Scottish councils.


Counselling Directory - If you're in need of support, search the counselling directory network to be connected with a professional counsellor or psychotherapist


Crimestoppers Scotland- If you know of any criminal activity, for the sake of your community and the need to remove the fear of crime you should ring 0800 555 111 and pass on the information.

Fife Violence Against Women Partnership - information and advice


Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre- (FRASAC) is an independent voluntary organisation offering a range of free and confidential support services to anyone, male or female, who has been raped or sexually assaulted at some point in their lives.  A dedicated Young Person's worker provides support to young people aged 12 - 25 to address their issues.


Fife Voluntary Action - Fife Voluntary Action promotes and supports local community and voluntary action. If you are involved with a charity, community group, social enterprise or voluntary organisation, or are looking to get involved in your local community, then we offer a range of support services of interest to you. Almost all of our services are free of charge.


Frontline Fife - offers a comprehensive and co-ordinated response that meets the needs of people who are homeless or at risk of being made homeless.  Services are free and confidential.


GIRFEC Guide - Scottish Government FIRFEC Guide for anyonw working with children and young people, including pracitioners working in adult services with parents and carers.

Handsonscotland - offers extensive practical information and hands on techniques to respond helpfully to troubling behaviour.  A new section on how to help children flourish has been developed for parents, carers and those working with children.


Internet Watch Foundation - The IWF is the only recognised organisation in the UK operating an internet ‘Hotline’ for the public and IT professionals to report their inadvertent exposure to potentially illegal content online.


Moodcafe - Promoting mental health resources.  Includes section for Children and Young People, and Parents.


NHS Fife - information on health services and resources within Fife


ParentLineScotland - information and advice to parents and carers to help support them to care for their children. Type "child safety" into the search facility on the website for further info related to child protection issues in Scotland.


Playfield Institute - provide assistance and support to frontline workers who are directly or indirectly involved in the prevention, promotion and care of children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.


Respect Me – Scotland’s anti bullying service offering practical advice and guidance for children, young people, parents and practitioners.  This includes advice on bullying behaviour via mobile phones, the internet, gaming and social networking sites.


Safe Space - provides a free and confidentail range of support services for people who have experienced sexual abuse.   They are based in Dunfermline, Fife and welcome people from anywhere, if they are able to travel to Fife to attend sessions.  All support workers are trained and experienced in working with survivors of sexual abuse.


Scottish Ambulance Service - advice and information and publications.


Scottish Child Law Centre - The aim of the Centre is to promote knowledge and use of Scots law and children's rights for the benefit of children and young people in Scotland.


Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration (SCRA) – information on the work of SCRA which focuses on children most at risk.


Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People (SCCYP) - promotes and safeguards the rights of children and young people living in Scotland.


Scottish Government - responsible for most of the issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Scotland, including health, education, justice, rural affairs, and transport.


Scottish Women’s Aid – domestic abuse helpline


Thinkuknow –practical advice for children, young people and parents when using the internet and mobile phones. There’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online.


Victim Support Fife - practical and emotional support to all victims of both reported and unreported crime.


Who Cares? Scotland – a voluntary organisation working with and for children and young people in care providing a range of services including advocacy, advice, information and support.


Young Scot – information for young people on a wide range of topics.
